I believe art is, before anything, a kind of creation… a purpose for itself. It can communicate or express something, but they are not its necessary functions.

I understand that we live a particular present, spasmodic, where everything is made prematurely old, where new prevail over good, the fugitive over essential. A “media moment”, whose main purpose is to shape the market needs, completely forgetting the beyond, beauty, understanding, and the true purpose of the sought…

I think one way to exert some resistance is to review the Renaissance, to get back to figurative, drawing, oil… to spend time with each painting, to reconnect with the composition.

The focus of my work is basically the naked.

Like the voice in the opera, I paint the human figure, being, their passions, the senses.I am honest in my work, I know what I want and try to find it. I don’t always succeed. I am still looking.
